I'm looking to review a swath of New 52 books from DC. I've read practically all of them, but I'm not such a masochist that I'm eager to go through them all. Ideally, I'd like to go over the first two issues of at least ten of the titles. But, since I'm being selective, I'd like to get a little direction from those who are reading the blog.
Please take the time to note five of the New 52 that you'd like me to review the first two issues of. With the limited replies I generally get, you just might see me review all five of your requests. ;)

Are you looking for five GOOD books or just five books it might be entertaining to read a review of?
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for five books that, for whatever reason, you'd be interested in reading an opinion on. ;)
ReplyDeleteI guess I'll go with:
ReplyDeleteFrankenstein, Agent of S.H.A.D.E.
The Fury of Firestorm The Whiny Men
Grifter
Supergirl
Teen Titans
A nice cross section there, in terms of how I personally feel about the books.
Not sure what you are looking for, but what I'm enjoying so far has been:
ReplyDeleteBatman (by Snyder), Action Comics, Wonder Woman, Justice League, Animal Man, Swamp Thing, I-Vampire, & Stormwatch (is ok).
A few more I read just to see how they go, but those have been the better ones so far.
I'd be interested in your take on Batgirl, Fury of Firestorm (of the Whiny Men is a GREAT modification, Russ!), Detective, Green Lantern and Suicide Squad.
ReplyDeleteIn no particular order:
ReplyDelete1. Suicide Squad [because I LOVE Ostrander's run so damn much and I'm curious to know others reactions to the new one (my opinion: Not bad, but a lot about it makes me just scratch my head - Sexy Waller, Juggalo Harley, Deadshot's lack of decent facial hair, ect.)]
2. Batwoman (Do you think JHW3 able to pull it off without Rucka?)
3. Stormwatch (I loved it when it was Wildstorm)
4. Catwoman (imho, it's a fucking train-wreck. Issue 2 read like a bad dime-store romance novel)
5. Wonder Woman (Holy crap, WW actually has a good book on the stands!)
