You Know...

When you are the company that is publishing the projects, there are some statements you shouldn't make...like:

"So, wait — we get an ongoing ACTION COMICS series from Cornell, Woods and Finch and a top-secret Guggenheim series? Sold."

Fans get to say that. News sites get to say that. Sites that suckle at your teat as to maintain unfettered access for interviews, previews and early heads up on announcements get to say that. You who are already publishing the projects and that any enthusiasm from is better called "marketing"? You don't get to say stuff like that without sounding stupid or pathetic.

Ironically...Cornell, Woods & Finch on Action Comics? Sold.

No slight to Guggenheim. I'm just not sold on something that is still "top-secret".

Robinson/Bagley On JLA

The Source blog announced that James Robinson and Mark Bagley will be working on Justice League of America starting in August. While not my dream team, I can definitely see some great advantages in their pairing on the book.

Robinson is basically immersed in all the big events going on at DC through his collaborations with Geoff Johns on the Superman books and Blackest Night: Superman, not to mention always having the potential to put together something great.

Bagley is fast and still manages to turn out some of the better artwork out there. I wonder what his work would be like if allowed more time to breathe and grow, but I'll definitely take it as is.

It isn't a pairing that made my jaw drop the second I heard about it. But it is a pairing that my excitement for is growing as it sinks in.

Something From Grant Morrison's Upcoming Multiverse Project?

This new Starro design by JG Jones was posted over on the DC Universe The Source blog. No information as to what project it is for was shared. Obviously, I put my guess into the title of the blog. What's your guess?
