In this vlog, I finally reveal the truth behind all of the Mr. Anonymous and Marvel_b0y hoopla going around. I'm only sorry I waited this long to tell you all.

  1. Hopefully every other April Fools prank will be just as funny as this one. Sadly, I know they wont be.

  2. So I'm confused.
Was the april fools joke watching him mumble about nothing for 6 minutes, or mumble about nothing about who Marvel_b0y is when LOL I DUNNO?

That's a pretty terrible April Fools joke.

  3. Not bad Kev... had me going at first, although somehow I don't think If I ever could have bought into the elaborate scheme overall as something that Marvel would have thought of. It would be too clever. :)

  4. Aretha Franklin is "Mr." Anonymous?

  5. I knew marvel_b0y wasn't Dan Slott. His LiveJournal entries always came out on a regular basis. That immediately ruled out Kevin's version of Stalker Patty.

If Dan Slott was marvel_b0y, right about now he would be leaking the fact that Captain America was going to be killed.

Timeliness ain't one of the man's strong points.

  6. The only April Fool is khuxford.

Did you think anybody would believe this? Marvel would never work with Chris Daughtry to reveal spoilers.

  7. OK, I could see dismissing the comments from obvious friendlies here, Frag...but someone over on YouTube apparently believed it so much that they commented half way through to call me a tool for lying. ;)

  9. C'mon now. Ratchet it down from being a troll and realize that I had a target audience to go after and I did a pretty good job on that group. ;)

  10. I will admit, I forgot about the YouTube group.

On the other hand, does the YouTube group understand any of the inside jokes?

  11. Eh, they didn't all know why I'd have a falling out with a BND writer, but the joke hinged on the whole viral marketing campaign/marvel_b0y thing. They all seemed to be aware of that.

  12. wow, what crap. So what is the April Fool's ...what exactly? Both marvel_b0y AND mr. Anonymous are viral marketing....no shit, we all saw that.

After this you have zero credibility. As a reporter you have lost any trust factor.

As a comic book writer, I could care less if you ever get a job.

  13. See...this is part of the reaction I knew I'd get. The people who didn't watch through the whole thing or have poor comprehension skills.

As far as I know, Mr. Anonymous is legit. It could be Marvel playing me...sure. But I'm not knowingly involved in viral marketing.

By the way...I'm not a reporter and haven't tried to pitch a comic since 1997. ;)

  14. Well, there's eight and a half minutes of my life that I can never have back. Not to mention the fact that my eyes are still burning ...

  15. Heh...so you DID watch it all the way to the end, Spider? ;)

  16. Kevin, screw the haters. What is that old saying "People with opinions are assholes"? Well, something like that.

Keep up the good work, if they don't like it, there's lots of other sites on this big ol' internet.

  17. "I knew marvel_b0y wasn't Dan Slott. His LiveJournal entries always came out on a regular basis."

And I've never seen anything Marvel_B0y has done in a porno, so Greg Land is out.
